Tomorrow's deadline

It is the Deadline tomorrow for the written work for this first Assignment. Hope that I had included everything with practice and preparation for my recital and pass this assignment and if I top,It will also be good.

Overview of my recital for the first assignment and viva voice examination

My recital went very well,What I had been doing is that when I was handed out the assignment on 23rd of November,I had been filling up my blog about what kind of practices I had been doing like tongue twisting excercise for example as you keep singing these two words Irish wristwatch and Comical economists and other words and sentences, several times as you sing the scales in descending order and similar to humming the scales with major and minor chords.I had been practicing breathing excercises and also learning Indian music and doing the technical practices like singing the first note of a particular phrase and for how much I can hold.

Now I am going to talk about the preparation for my recital and how I did my recital. Whatever I had been rehearsing,I had included notes and about the songs in my blog with putting the MP3 Karoake versions and writing drafts of programme notes and then sending the MP3 backing tracks and the programme notes via email and I also put the MP 3 backing tracks on my blog. I was ready to sing for the recital much before hand because I had been working on songs even before my mock recital and was ready to sing the list of songs for the actual recital for which I had time to keep practicing even better for my recital. I had been doing Ok in my mock recital which happened on 30th November and also during the lessons after the Christmas break I had raised my hand telling the teacher that I wanted to sing one song when he asked who all would like to sing today.This was practice time during the recital for February. For my mock recital,I sang Castle of glass by Linkin park and wake me up when September ends by Green day.My feedback which I got from Philip,He said that I didn't need to stretch the phrases for so long and find some more shape and phrases in the song and even other songs also when I was doing the practice recitals for the actual ones. In the final recital,This time it went better and as I did in response to the feedback given to me,I didn't stretch the phrases for so long and only for a short period of time before singing the next parts of the songs while performing in the recital. I had my backing tracks ready and I was tapping my finger on the microphone and my tapping my hand on my leg and it was also said in my mock recital feedback that I should not tap my foot so luckily I didn't do that in the actual recital and I was confident about how and when to sing using the backing track while performing. However,during the year and when I go ahead in life,I will make sure that I am confident and do better and better than before and what I felt that the good part during these lessons for the preparation for the recital in January was that I was ready to sing so that I could get more feedback from Philip and other friends as what I should do more better in and where I was going wrong.This really helped me to do better in the actual recital so that I could start working on it.Now because,I had done well in this recital,I also got a chance to sing the Hindi song Zoobi doobi in front of the whole college before the start of the student awards. I sang itch confidence and was very happy to perform in this special occasion. As I kept practicing for the recital at home and in college,I always made sure that it was a 25 minute performance including what I was going to speak. I never sang with backing tracks before but starting doing in this certificate course as people can also enjoy the beat of the backing track while I perform on stage. So my Songs consist as follows which I performed for the recital.

Recital for student awards

Today's short recital also went very good as well as the actual recital.The whole college screamed as they clapped after singing before the student awards.Everyone liked it. It was not only the people who came down to see the student awards,there were also some people who could also see from upstairs as the college had a big open area,especially the entrance.

As I had said that I had been doing very well in my recital,I had been selected to sing Zoobi doobi tomorrow,in front of the whole college.I hope I perform well and as I kept my blog up to date I hope I pass the music certificate first assignment.

I keep practicing the song Zoobi doobi to keep up with my regular practice and not letting my performance go down and also so that people in the college like my performance when I sing before the student awards.

Student award after half term and what I sand for my recital.

Now,because I did my recital very well in class last week,I am one of the four students who is/am going to sing the song " Zoobi doobi" from 3 idiots and it is a very exciting news for me and the other three students in my class will also sing one of their songs which they sung for the recital last week.I hope I do well in this thing before the student awards start in the college.

My recital went good  and everyone liked it and the words of the songs were very clear and I was Confident.Hope I get a good grade for the First Assignment.Even though, this process was long.It was still good because I worked hard right from the beginning of this assignment

Today's practice before the recital

Hi,

today I was in the college all day and I didn't have my normal classes except for English and Maths due to review week. So,In the free time,I kept rehearsing my songs and also doing my other work as well. I hope the recital goes well and people enjoy my recital tomorrow.I will do my best.

For my recital on wednesday

I am feeling very confident that I will perform well for my recital on Wednesday and I had practiced a lot starting from the time of my mock recital and this time I will try and do better by being relaxed,showing movement and be enthusiastic and also I will make sure which parts of the songs I have to sing next with the backing tracks and try not to mess up.

Last few days of practice for the recital

I have started practicing the Backing tracks with the MP 3s and sent them to my teacher so that he can play it on the day.

Today's practice and computer work by email

Today was the last week before performing for my recital next week,So Philip took me to 140 A and I spent my time practicing individually including what I am going to speak.I did this while the first student in my class for his/her recital and then when the time was up,I went back to the room and listened to the others doing their recitals.In the final hour of the lesson,the song which was tell me why which I am not going to sing the whole song for my recital,I uploaded my MP 3 track to logic and did some cutting my MP3 track and sent it along with the other songs via email to Philip who is my teacher.I feel that I will do much more better and look forward to perform next Wednesday.
